Lora Jones is a writer, rampant bibliophile, ghost story addict, history nut, and mean longbow archer.
She is currently working on two children’s books and a 6 x 30min comedy drama for TV. Her particular research interests include the life and legacy of Lord Byron, the social and psychological history of ghosts, and WW1.
Lora began her career in the TV industry, working first in factual programming, and then scripted comedy and drama at the BBC and ITV, amongst others. She holds a BA Hons in English Literature and MA in Early Modern History, both from Durham University.
David Starkey once telling Lora, “My dear, you look quite deliciously 1920s”, remains quite possibly her most significant achievement to date. But she’s also very proud to be able to work with a number of her favourite charities too.
Outside of writing and research, Lora is the Owner of ELLIE AND BEATTY, a wedding flower preservation and floral crafts studio. She lives at LLANERCH FARM, an 18th century farmhouse on the North Wales borders, with her husband and growing menagerie of animals.
